Questions Euless families ask.
How much does a full-service funeral cost in Euless, TX?
A traditional funeral with Vargas-London in Euless starts at $5,495. That covers professional services, transportation, embalming, a 20-gauge steel casket, visitation, ceremony, viewing, hearse, a family limousine for the procession, cemetery coordination, and all required Texas filings. Cemetery plot, opening/closing fees, flowers, programs, and death certificates are billed separately at cost. The full itemized General Price List is provided at the arrangement conference as required by the FTC Funeral Rule (16 C.F.R. Part 453).
Do you serve Euless for at-need calls today?
Yes — 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Vargas-London dispatches our own transfer team in our own vehicles within 60–90 minutes of your call, anywhere in Euless or Tarrant County. We coordinate directly with Texas Health Harris Methodist HEB, hospice agencies, and assisted-living facilities. Call (214) 738-4276 now if a death has occurred — there is no charge for the first conversation.
Can I have a religious or cultural service in Euless?
Yes. Vargas-London coordinates Catholic Mass (with the Diocese of Dallas or any local parish), Protestant services, Jewish funerals (with on-site tahara if requested), Muslim janazah and same-day burial, Hindu antyesti rites with family-witnessed cremation, Sikh gurdwara services, Jain ahimsa-aligned services, Buddhist (Theravada, Mahayana, Vajrayana), and African-American home-going services. Bilingual Spanish-English arrangement conferences are standard. We bring the service to your house of worship, our chapel, the cemetery, or the family home.
Will you accept life insurance, VA benefits, or pre-paid plans?
Yes. Vargas-London accepts insurance assignment (we file directly with the carrier so the family pays nothing out of pocket), VA burial benefits for honorably-discharged veterans (including the DFW National Cemetery, plot allowance, and military honors), Social Security lump-sum death benefits, prearrangement trusts, cash, check, and all major credit cards. Bring the policy or VA discharge paperwork (DD-214) to the arrangement conference and we handle the rest.
What's the difference between a funeral, a memorial service, and a graveside service?
A traditional funeral includes the body present (typically in an open or closed casket) at the visitation and ceremony, followed by burial or cremation. A memorial service is held without the body present (often after cremation or burial has already taken place) and may be days, weeks, or months later. A graveside service takes place entirely at the cemetery, usually shorter, often with a closed casket. Vargas-London arranges all three at every price point and can combine elements (e.g., visitation only, then graveside).
How quickly does a Texas funeral typically take place?
Most Texas funerals are held 3–7 days after death. Religious requirements may compress that window — Jewish and Muslim traditions call for burial within 24 hours when possible, which Vargas-London accommodates with same-day Texas filings. Catholic and Protestant funerals typically wait 4–7 days to allow family travel. Texas requires a death certificate filing within 10 days of death — we handle that paperwork from your first phone call.
Is embalming required by Texas law?
No. Texas does not require embalming for a funeral or burial. However, embalming is required if the funeral involves an open-casket public viewing, if interstate transport of the body is needed, or if the burial is delayed beyond 24 hours without refrigeration. The FTC Funeral Rule prohibits any funeral home from telling you embalming is legally required when it isn't. Vargas-London offers refrigeration as a no-cost alternative when embalming isn't needed.
Can I supply my own casket or urn?
Yes — federal law (FTC Funeral Rule, 16 C.F.R. § 453.4) prohibits any funeral home from refusing or charging extra to use a casket or urn you bought elsewhere. Costco, Walmart, Amazon, and many independent online retailers sell quality caskets at significant savings. Vargas-London will accept delivery on your behalf and use it for the service at no surcharge. We do not require purchase of a casket from us.
Do you have a chapel, or can the service happen at my church in Euless?
Both. Vargas-London has a private chapel at our Dallas location for families who prefer that setting. We also bring services to any house of worship in Euless or Tarrant County — Catholic parishes, Protestant churches, synagogues, mosques, Hindu temples, gurdwaras, and Buddhist temples. Graveside services at any DFW cemetery are also routine. There is no additional fee for off-site ceremonies within our standard service area.
Do you offer pre-need funeral plans in Euless?
Yes. Pre-need funeral planning locks in today's prices, removes the burden from your family at the most painful moment, and protects funds in a state-regulated Texas pre-need trust. Pre-need plans are fully transferable to any licensed Texas funeral home and refundable if you move out of state or change your mind. Vargas-London offers free pre-need consultations in Euless either at your home, our Dallas office, or by phone. Call (214) 738-4276 or use the form above.
