Our commitment
Vargas-London commits to correcting factual errors on this website promptly, transparently, and with a visible record of the change. If anything we have published is inaccurate, we want to know — and we will fix it.
How to request a correction
Email Carlos@dallasfuneralhome.services with:
- The full URL of the page you believe contains an error
- The specific text or claim that is incorrect (a copy-paste of the sentence is best)
- What the correct information is — and, if possible, a citation to a primary source (a Texas statute, an FTC publication, an NFDA report, etc.)
- Your name, in case we need to follow up
We respond to correction requests within two business days. If the error is verified, we publish the correction within 48 hours of confirmation.
How we publish corrections
We use three levels of correction notice, depending on the severity of the error:
1. Silent fix (typos and formatting)
Pure typographical errors, broken links, formatting glitches, and similar non-substantive issues are corrected without a published note. The "Last reviewed" date on the page is updated.
2. Footer correction note (factual changes)
If we changed a fact, statistic, citation, or claim on a page, the corrected version is published and a brief correction note appears at the bottom of the page in this format:
April 12, 2026: A previous version of this page stated that Texas requires embalming after 24 hours. Texas does not require embalming for most services; we have replaced that paragraph with the correct standard under Texas Health & Safety Code §711.011. Thanks to the reader who flagged it.
3. Editor's note at the top (significant errors)
If a published page contained a substantial factual error — one that could mislead a reader making a decision — we leave an Editor's Note at the top of the page describing what was wrong, when it was corrected, and (where possible) why the error happened. We do not silently delete the page or rewrite history.
What we will not do
- We will not delete pages to hide errors. If a page is taken down, a 410 status is returned and the URL is added to the redirect list with a note explaining what replaced it.
- We will not change quoted statements from third parties (regulators, family members with permission, professional associations) without their consent.
- We will not retroactively edit testimonials beyond grammatical correction. If a family asks us to remove their testimonial, we remove it within 48 hours, no questions asked.
- We will not edit a page's date stamp to make a correction look fresh. The "Last reviewed" date reflects the actual date of the most recent substantive review.
Recent corrections log
No corrections have been published since this site launched. When the first correction is made, it will appear here with the page URL, the date, and a one-line summary.
Texas Funeral Service Commission
This corrections policy applies to factual content on our website. For consumer concerns about the funeral services Vargas-London provides — pricing, conduct, advertising compliance — the Texas Funeral Service Commission accepts complaints at (888) 667-4881 or tfsc.texas.gov. The commission's complaint process is independent of this website.
